Artist Jen Kagan, in collaboration with art students from Blackburn College, is creating an interactive light work for the Cotton Exchange in Blackburn
Launching on 15th December as part of Blackburn Light Festival Projection will light up The Exchange until March 2019.
The work, Projection, seeks to reignite this magnificent space that has lain dormant for several years and highlight the potential of its future as a beacon for the town.
Used as a cinema for many years, the Exchange will once again flicker with light and moving images but this time the stars will be the people of Blackburn.
Passers-by will be invited to bring the building to life by ringing doorbells placed around it that will in turn open doors onto the lives of the residents of the town, glimpsed through its wonderful windows.
