Listen Up will see artists Caelan Salmon and Tom Washington explore the social and cultural landscape of Blackburn through a series of roadshow style, sonic pop ups in communities living close to the Leeds & Liverpool Canal. Join them to tell a story, reminisce, share what you’re passionate about, show them your favourite trainers or your grandma’s recipe, bring along your best record or family photo. From slam poetry to soundscapes, help express Blackburn through a multitude of unique and exciting sound explorations.

Listen Up & Printmaking – Wednesday 14th August, 2-4pm, Canalside Activity & Environment Centre – Bonsall St, BB2 4DD: Join audio artists Caelen Salmon and Tom Washington for an afternoon of chatting about everything from acid house to heritage, local food to Lancashire fashion alongside artist Ian Halawi, for a printmaking session inspired by music posters of times gone by.
