Super Slow Way Pop Up Cafe – Various Artists

Our canal side space in Clayton, Hyndburn.

The Super Slow Way is shaping the UK’s longest linear park across a 20 mile stretch of the Leeds & Liverpool canal in East Lancashire with the communities that live and work alongside it as a unique new space for us all to use and share.

Alongside partners, we are developing new community spaces along the canal stretch for people to come together, get to know one another and enjoy a range of activities. Over the coming months we will be running a range of free workshops and activities including canoeing, archery, creative workshops, growing and cooking along the Leeds & Liverpool Canal. In 2024, we have been running a variety of activities from Clayton Community Centre on Pickup Street, Clayton Le Moors, BB5 5RN. If you’d like to get involved or have any ideas about what activities you want to see at the centre then drop into the Super Slow Way Cafe and access to our family friendly creative activities and equipment.

Some of our other commissions have also taken place around the community centre in Clayton, including the Dirty Faces film commission, Ghost with Adam Chodzko and a community designed mural with artist Craig Atherton.

Our site for activity in Hyndburn, this space is based at Clayton Community Centre, Pickup St, Clayton-le-Moors, Accrington BB5 5NR

All activities are free for residents and all are welcome!
