‘Picture Hyndburn‘ is a new community project taking place on Accrington Town Square, where people and objects from the Hyndburn community are being professionally photographed for a new art exhibition in 2025. Celebrating all the people who have a home in Hyndburn, or love visiting the area.
Participants were invited to have their portrait taken alone or with other people such as family or friends. Everyone, of all ages, were invited to visit and take part. People could also bring an item that they felt represented them to be photographed instead of showing their face.
Picture Hyndburn’ is a collaboration between Hyndburn Borough Council and The Super Slow Way, led by Artist Jamie Holman, supported by Artist Zara Saghir, with final year photography and social practice students from UCEN Manchester.
