We’re very pleased to welcome art collective Studio INSTAR to the Super Slow Way as our artists in residence over the next year.
Chosen by a community panel of residents from Nelson, Burnley and Clayton-le-Moors, the artists will work with communties to nurture connections between them and the natural world found along the canal corridor.
INSTAR is a multidisciplinary studio run by artists Trish Evans and Nick Humphreys. Through site-responsive contemporary artworks and collaborations, they explore the intricate connections between people, place and the more-than-human world. Drawing on their lifelong engagement with nature, their work invites curiosity, connection and a deeper sense of environmental belonging.
