We’re very pleased to welcome artist Jayne Lawless to the Super Slow Way as our artist in residence over the next year.
Chosen by a community panel of residents from Nelson, Burnley and Clayton-le-Moors, the artists will work with communties to nurture connections between them and the natural world found along the canal corridor.
Jayne Lawless is an artist based in Liverpool. Jayne believes art belongs to everyone, not just the elite and aims to break barriers, inspire creativity and encourage others to follow their own creative paths in her roaming projects, such as Dead Pigeon Gallery and North EndSketch Club. Jayne sees the artist’s role extending beyond the gallery to activism, influencing change in social and environmental policy.
