Taste of Transformation: Youth Works in the Kitchen

Marsden Heights College students, supported by YouthWorks, are learning to cook, and you’re invited to put their skills to the test.

(Every fourth Thursday of month)

6.30-8.00pm at Unity Well Being Centre, 79 Vernon St, Nelson BB9 9DE, UK

Marsden Heights Community College students, supported by YouthWorks, are learning to cook, and invite you to join them to come and sample the results!

Each month they’ll choose a different recipe book and select a dish to cook, using shops and producers across Nelson and Pendle to source the ingredients. You are invited to join them from 6:30pm to see the results, meet the group and their friends and family and enjoy a communal meal.

These events are part of Taste of Transformation, an intergenerational Alternative School of Food Politics where we co-learn about our food systems through collective cooking, eating, and conversation.

To allow us to sustain this activity we kindly ask for a £5 contribution towards your meal (or what is affordable).
