The Super Slow Way Cafe
In 2024, we have been running a variety of activities from Clayton Community Centre on Pickup Street, Clayton Le Moors, BB5 5RN. If you’d like to get involved or have any ideas about what activities you want to see at the centre then drop into our community café for a FREE HOT DRINK and access to our family friendly creative activities and equipment.
The Cafe will be open every Wednesday from 10am – 2pm offering a warm space, hot drinks and cake!
The second phase of our How To Creative Workshops are now underway and running throughout the autumn and winter. These are weekly FREE introductory workshops where you can come down and have a go at a different creative activity each week! All are welcome, dates and workshops listed below:

- Wed 4th Dec – How To Use Natural Dyes with Kirsteen McGregor
- Wed 11th Dec – How To Make Christmas Decorations

We are also looking for two volunteers to support the Clayton Cafe and the activities that happen each week. This will be from 9.30am – 12.30pm every Wednesday. We can pay travel expenses and provide snacks.
You will be located in a cafe and creative workshop space welcoming guests, answering questions, supporting the artists workshops and collecting feedback from visitors, which will develop your communication skills. You will develop skills and in-depth learning about the creative workshops each week and get the opportunity to work as part of a team in a creative environment.
