This collection of work explores architectural structure, pattern and embellishment with unfamiliar threads and embroidery methods in contrasting contexts: from the industrial mattress factory of Silentnight to rural folk art found in the French Alps. Brought together in Blackburn’s Cotton Exchange, this work celebrates the presence of the human hand.
