“As a new resident to the area, this project has given me the opportunity to identify the personality this town has to offer. I have found through this project, the chance to meet so many people who are creating opportunities for the youth, through boxing or rewilding projects. Crafty individuals and businesses whose aim are to support other local businesses. I’ve stumbled across heritage enthusiasts, who have focussed their careers on investigating the history and myths ot the local area, not excluding the pendle witches and urban folklore of ‘Jenny Green Teeth’. With this project I have had to hone down on the people I’ve chosen, although there are so many more people I’d love to include”.
“I have chosen to use black ink to create the portraits of the people involved. By doing this I have allowed the details and characters of their faces to stand out”.
Next Summer we will be exhibiting these artworks in Clayton Le Moors, alongside a small newspaper to bring all of Natasha’s research and artworks together.
