Call out for Blackburn dance groups, exercise classes and keepy uppy experts!

3rd December 2018

We’re looking for groups who dance together and exercise together, keepy uppy experts and naan or pizza throwers to film for a new light project currently being made in Blackburn.

Artist Jen Kagan, in collaboration with art students from Blackburn College, is creating an interactive light installation for The Cotton Exchange in Blackburn.

Projection is due to open on Saturday 15th December as part of Blackburn Festival of Light and seeks to reignite the Cotton Exchange which as been empty for several years and highlight the potential of its future as a beacon for the town.

Used as a cinema for many years, the windows of the Exchange will once again flicker with light and moving images but this time the stars will be the people of Blackburn – which is why we need you!

Filming will take place at Blackburn Youth Zone on Thursday 6th December between 3pm and 9pm. If you’re interested in taking part please contact Uzma on uzma@superslowway.org.uk for more details.
