Always wanted to run your own cafe or take away, or expand your current food offer?
The Ripple Effect are excited to share that our Pop-Up Cafe & Creative Space will be installed in Lomeshaye Park, on the canal in Nelson during April 2024.
We are now looking for anyone local who’d like to use the pop-up space to test out running their own cafe or takeaway business for a day or weekend over the summer supported by our experienced food co-ordinator. Whether you’re a local food business keen to test out a new space, an experienced home cook eager for more people to taste your food, an up and coming or aspirational street food vendor, or anything in between! We are keen to showcase local produce and food heritage and help us test out what a healthy sustainable food economy looks like.
We can support both established food offers and those keen to test something out in a new and exciting space. We can offer a small start-up grant to support you with the residency if needed, along with mentoring, training and food hygiene certification.
In the first instance the pop-up space will be available from April – September 2024 with plans to extend that if Nelson has the appetite!
Due to funding this opportunity is open to Pendle residents only.
This is a new venture for us and we’d love to hear your ideas to help shape an exciting food offer for Nelson!
