As you may know, we recently announced that our Homegrown/Homespun project has received 2 more years of funding through The National Lottery Community Fund. In light of this funding, we have been looking at new potential sights in and around the Blackburn area, as well as cultivating a new part of the already established site in Audley.
On Friday the 25th of February, we will officially begin work on extending the Audley site for Homegrown/Homespun 2022!
If you are interested in getting involved in the project, and like some hands on activity (occasionally mucky!) then this the perfect opportunity for you to come and work with our wonderful team, and meet our already established volunteers from last year. We will have a tree surgeon and wood chipper on site from the Lancashire Wildlife Trust, as we aim to join up the current field with a new piece of land.
If you live in the Blackburn area and fancy coming down, even if you can’t make this event but would like to take part in more Homegrown/Homespun activity, then email uzma@superslowway.org.uk
